Garden Room Day 9!
I actually don’t mind this job but totally get some people are not a fan lol.
Today I managed to get all the walls finished with 50mm PIR and its now looking very shiny and nice!
This is one of the main reasons the garden rooms will stay lovely and warm in winter and a bit cooler in summer.
Good quality insulation is absolute KING when it comes to creating your warm cosy environment so its no time to skimp or cut corners.
The walls are built up of the external cladding, baton (with 50mm airflow gap), breathable membrane, 4 x 2 pressure treated timber, 50mm PIR insulation, vapour control barrier, plasterboard and plaster. You can see there is a lot that goes into making a garden room to the very highest standard takes time and a lot of graft and many ‘layers’.
Tomorrow shall be a filling gaps with expanding foam and then putting vapour control barrier in. Plus other bits but it depends which delivery gets to me first as I have quite a lot of bits and pieces are due out for delivery.
Garden Room Day 9 Time Lapse:
Happy Days!
